MAPPEM Geophysics
Marine electromagnetic and resistivity imaging solutions delivering subsurface and environmental insight
MAPPEM Geophysics specializes in marine electromagnetic solutions for offshore and nearshore investigations. Our technologies provide quantitative data for engineering, and risk mitigation in maritime infrastructure projects such as offshore wind, pipeline and cable routing, dredging, and port development. We also support environmental and defence applications.
Geophysical resistivity imaging: Imaging subsurface porosity, lithology, and heterogeneities – even beneath acoustic masks – to improve ground models and reduce uncertainty in engineering design.
Detecting and locating buried objects and hazards: Identifying ferrous and non-ferrous UXO (including LMBs), boulders, and archaeological features to mitigate risk during construction and dredging.
Measuring ambient Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs): Assessing natural and anthropogenic EMFs to evaluate environmental impacts, monitor subsea power cables, detect corrosion, and support underwater surveillance.
Executing R&D projects: Developing innovative solutions for defence, environmental monitoring, and deep-sea exploration through applied research in marine electromagnetics.
Our goal is to deliver accurate, physics-based data that informs decision-making, reduces uncertainty, and supports safe and efficient maritime developments.
