In the heart of Italy's olive-growing region, Alberami is pioneering a transformative approach to farming. In a landscape once ravaged by the Xylella fastidiosa bacterium, our mission is to work hand in hand with smallholder farmers to enhance soil fertility, reduce carbon emissions, and secure better livelihoods.

Founded in Lecce in 2021, we have joined forces with small and medium-sized farms across Italy. Through support and incentives, we guide them in adopting regenerative practices. Our primary focus is on olive orchards, almonds, walnuts, and fruit trees, as we believe sustainable farming can coexist with profitable agriculture.

At Alberami, we are dedicated to making sustainability and profitability walk hand in hand. By fostering connections between farmers and our commercial partners, we create new markets for their crops. Furthermore, we assist farmers in assessing their carbon footprint and help them monetise their surplus sequestration capacity. In doing so, we tackle scope 3 emissions, a common problem up the supply chain.

Over the past 18 months, Alberami's regenerative practices have already transformed over 2,500 hectares of traditional olive groves, with approximately 10,000 more set to follow as we validate our flagship project 'AgroEcology_Italy.' But this is just the beginning.

By 2030, Alberami aims to extend our practices across 200,000 hectares of Italian agricultural land. This expansion won't just secure better livelihoods for thousands of farmers but also serve as a vital carbon sink, storing an estimated 1 million tons of CO2 annually.
