Agroforestry and regenerative Agriculture as key tools in the fight against climate change.
Alberami | Growing solutions for agricultural and climate regeneration
At the heart of Italy’s farming landscape, Alberami works closely with farmers to regenerate soil, improve rural livelihoods, and contribute to climate resilience.
Founded in Lecce in 2021, Alberami supports small and medium-sized farms—especially olive groves, almond orchards, citrus, fruit trees, and grain crops—in the transition to regenerative agroecological practices. We provide technical support, economic incentives, and access to new markets, including high-quality carbon credit schemes.
We are the first project in Italy to be validated and verified under an ICROA-endorsed standard, ensuring transparency, credibility, and environmental integrity.
Our mission includes helping farmers measure, reduce, and monetize their carbon footprint—addressing Scope 3 emissions across agrifood and distribution value chains.
Over the past two years, we’ve activated more than 8,500 hectares of traditional farmland, with an additional 10,000 hectares under validation through our flagship protocol, AgroEcology_Italy. In 2024, the project received an independent ex-post rating from BeZero Carbon, becoming the first nature-based “removal” project published on their platform, with a BBB rating out of 470+ global projects.
In parallel, Alberami develops insetting and supply chain carbon neutrality projects for leading Italian agrifood brands, delivering measurable, traceable climate impact across entire value chains.
By 2030, we aim to regenerate 250,000 hectares of farmland and remove over 1 million tons of CO2 annually.
Sustainability and profitability can go hand in hand.
