Startups sourcing and scouting with Motherbase

How Motherbase works to detect, evaluate and follow innovative entities worldwide ?

Detection & qualification : rather than “scrapping” existing databases or websites, Motherbase follows major “innovation catalysts” social media accounts. (Incubators, VCs, Corporates,…). When a link with a new innovative entity is detected I a post, its page in Motherbase is created. It includes the organization’s main info (value proposition, location, …) and gathers main public information available online about this entity. Motherbase’s NLP algorithms qualify:

• the entity type (Startup, SMB, NGO, …),
• its activity (Agritech, Greentech, Fintech, Smart City, etc.),
• its Technologies.

Update : all Motherbase entites are automatically updated on a monthly basis (New value proposition, links with corporates, number of employees and followers, etc.

Third party APIs : Motherbase aggregates Third Party data when available to enrich each entity file (financials, fundraising, ...). Motherbase APIs are also available for Third Parties or public websites or portals as that one.
